Up to Date, All the Time

One of the most overlooked necessities of a well-kept computer system is regular updating. Software updates and patches can and will save you countless hassles with software bugs, and hours of stress dealing with inherent flaws that maybe have been already fixed.

Firewall Protection

Crackers? Network weaknesses? Compromised systems? Having an anti virus program and a firewall is not enough. Constant scanning, updating and monitoring is the key for a healthy computer, server and network.

¿Quebradores? ¿Debilidades en la red? ¿Sistemas comprometidos?

Linux Expert

GNU/Linux is an open operating system (OS).  Any programmer can access the code and submit changes to improve it.  The maintainers evaluate the changes.  If approved, they are integrated to the distribution.  GNU/Linux is considered the best alternative as a server OS because:

  1. Security – Software is under constant revision by multiple users.  Security patches are available within hours of bug discovery.
  2. Auditable code – The code is open.
  3. Modifiable – Functions can be added or subtracted
  4. Source code with history– The source code has been in existence for a while and have been optimized for better results.
  5. There is no need to purchase new licences or new hardware to keep running the latest version of GNU/Linux.
  6. Not susceptible to viruses.
  7. Extremely powerful– Facilitates complex concept development, data management is simple and runs reasonably fast.
  8. Backup simplicity.
  9. When configured correctly the system is very stable.
  10. It is free.

  10. Gratis.
